WHY STUDY IN FRANCE?

EDUCATION SYSTEM-

Undergraduate-

To be able to attend an undergraduate program, you must have a high school diploma or its equivalent and meet the additional requirements as well. The academic year commences from mid-September and runs till the end of June of the following year. The students need to submit the transcripts of all the institutions they have attended since secondary school. The scores of IELTS/TOEFL must also be submitted.

Postgraduate-

The postgraduate programs in France are bifurcated into three main categories-

  1. Taught Masters (MAs/MScs/MEng)
  2. Research Masters (MRes/MA by Research)
  3. Doctorates and PhDs

The duration of these degrees depends on the course you have selected and also the university, but mostly these courses can be completed within 2 years.

 

COST OF STUDY-

The tuition fee is drastically low when compared with other leading study abroad destinations, which goes easy on the pockets of international students, therefore, making it an economically viable education hub. With 83 public universities and all of them being funded by the government, it comparatively reduces the financial burden when the cost is taken into consideration, particularly for higher education, since the tuition fee is similar for both, domestic and international students. The cost for studying at private institutions is at least ten fold when compared with public institutions.

Tuition Costs- The average rates may vary from about 150 EUR per term to 900 EUR per term, depending upon the organization.
Living cost- Approximately 430 EUR per month may be required while attending college in France.

INTAKES-

Usually the academic year commences from mid-September and runs till mid- July but certain institutions also have enrollments throughout the year.
