EDUCATION SYSTEM
Undergraduate (Bachelor) Degrees-

England and Wales- 3 years
Scotland- 4 years
(Most universities offer Sandwich programs which are spread over 4 years and include industrial experience.)
Postgraduate Degrees-
To seek admission in a postgraduate degree, you either need to have obtained an undergraduate degree or its equivalent.
Duration-
Master’s Degree- 1 year
Postgraduate Research- 3-5 years
The intakes take place majorly during September and January.
COST OF STUDYING-
The cost of studying in the UK is quite high but it must be understood that when compared to other countries, the courses are shorter in respect with the duration and are far more intensive and exceeding in terms of research and skill enhancement.
This not only reduces the tuition fee but also living expenses and other facilities availed by the student.
Tuition fee- It may range from GBP 7000 to GBP 30,000, depending on the type of college or university.
Living expenses- They may range from GBP 800 to GBP 1000, depending on the lifestyle of the student.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS-
In order to stay or move to the UK, the changes made by United Kingdom Visas and Immigration (UKVI) must be taken into consideration and thoroughly understood.
Student Visas-
The most common visa to enter UK as an international student is a Tier 4 Student Visa, which has a point based system and in order to qualify, 40 points are required. Your education counselor will provide you with further information on the same. Minimum academic requirements stated and English proficiency requirements must be met in order to qualify for the same.
WORK OPPORTUNITIES-
Depending on the type of visa, students are generally allowed to work for certain number of hours per week during term and vacation period. Upon completion of their course, students are entitled to post study work permit.
